Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery at Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg Saturday night, June 13, 2026. The assault and robbery were reported on Rio Boulevard at 10:08 PM Saturday. 

Strong-arm bikejacking in Montgomery Village

Montgomery County police responded to a strong-arm carjacking in Montgomery Village Monday night that turned out to be a bikejacking. The victim and suspect had agreed to meet in the 20100 block of Waringwood Way so the suspect could purchase the victim's dirt bike. But when the suspect arrived at 8:44 PM, they took the bike by force and rode off into the night. Police have not released a description of the suspect as of this writing.

Strong-arm robbery at gas station in Montgomery Village

"Crime is down" in Montgomery County, and if you don't believe it, just ask the afternoon cashier at the BP gas station in Montgomery Village. Three juveniles entered the station's convenience store at 5:15 PM on May 11, 2026. They proceeded to physically assault the cashier, and pocket some merchandise, to boot. Montgomery County police were able to locate and arrest one of the three youths.

Police are still looking for the other two juveniles, who remain at-large. They are described only as two Black males aged 13-14. Yet another violent crime taking place in broad daylight in Montgomery County, a disturbing recent trend.

Chipotle diner pummeled and robbed in Gaithersburg

A diner at the Chipotle restaurant in the Kentlands area of Gaithersburg was pummeled and robbed yesterday afternoon, April 27, 2026. The victim was seated to enjoy his meal at the restaurant at 96 Main Street at 3:30 PM, when a suspect approached him, and struck him in the face multiple times. After taking the victim's jacket, the suspect left the restaurant. Yet again, another example of the recent Montgomery County crime trend of violent crimes being perpetrated in broad daylight.

When they lose the knife, they have to resort to bare hands. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we're heading back to one of the highest crime streets in Montgomery County, Lost Knife Road in Montgomery Village. Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery there at 2:31 PM on March 29, 2026. Two suspects assaulted and stole property from the adult male victim.

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery in Montgomery Village yesterday afternoon, March 29, 2026. The robbery was reported in the 9600 block of Lost Knife Road at 2:31 PM Sunday. According to police, two suspects physically blocked a vehicle. Assaulting the driver, they ripped his watch off his wrist and fled on foot. Police have not released a description of either suspect.

Two suspects assaulted two adult victims, and took their property. Police describe the suspects only as two Black males, aged late 30s to early 40s. Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery in Germantown last Friday morning, December 12, 2025. The robbery and assault were reported in the 12600 block of Wisteria Drive at 11:00 AM Friday. They took place along the street in a commercial area.

A lone assailant assaulted the adult female victim, and stole her property. Police describe the suspect only as a Black female of unknown age. Man jumped by 5 robbers in Germantown

A man was jumped by five would-be robbers in a busy part of Germantown in broad daylight on October 13, 2025. Montgomery County police say the victim was in the 12900 block of Middlebrook Road at 3:56 PM, when he was surrounded by five suspects. The five attempted to assault the victim and steal property from him, but were unsuccessful.

Arrest made in Montgomery Village 7-Eleven assault

Montgomery County police have arrested a suspect in the August 25, 2025 strong-arm robbery at the 7-Eleven at 19235 Watkins Mill Road, at the Montgomery Village Center. Police were called to the store at 9:07 PM that night, after a suspect allegedly assaulted the female clerk and stole merchandise. Sheldon King, 31, of Montgomery Village has been charged with felony robbery, 2nd-degree assault, and theft. According to Maryland court records, bail has been set at $5000 by Judge Michael O. Glynn III.

Strong-arm robbery at convenience store in Montgomery Village

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery at a convenience store in Montgomery Village Monday night, August 25, 2025. The robbery was reported at a store in the 19200 block of Watkins Mill Road at 9:08 PM Monday. There is a 7-Eleven store on that block of Watkins Mill. An individual was also accused of committing 2nd-degree assault in the same incident.

Strong-arm robbery at Germantown bus stop

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery at a bus stop in Germantown Tuesday night, June 24, 2025. The robbery and assault were reported at a bus stop in the 19900 block of Aircraft Drive at 7:40 PM Tuesday. That appears to be at the Germantown Transit Center, which has numerous bus stops.

Montgomery County police were called to Northwest High School at 13501 Richter Farm Road in Germantown on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. A strong-arm robbery was reported at the school. The robbery took place at 9:30 AM Tuesday.

Strong-arm robbery in Montgomery Village

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery in Montgomery Village early in the afternoon of May 14, 2025. The assault and robbery were reported in the 10400 block of Stedwick Road at 1:43 PM. An adult male was approached by three suspects, who assaulted him, and stole his money and unspecified property.

The robbery and assault were reported in the unit block of Grand Corner Avenue at 9:40 PM on May 10, 2025. They took place along the street.

Gaithersburg City police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery in broad daylight on May 5, 2025. The robbery and assault were reported in the 700 block of Russell Avenue at 12:12 PM Monday. That's a high-crime area near the shuttered Lakeforest Mall.
