Strong-arm bikejacking in Montgomery Village

Montgomery County police responded to a strong-arm carjacking in Montgomery Village Monday night that turned out to be a bikejacking. The victim and suspect had agreed to meet in the 20100 block of Waringwood Way so the suspect could purchase the victim's dirt bike. But when the suspect arrived at 8:44 PM, they took the bike by force and rode off into the night. Police have not released a description of the suspect as of this writing.

Armed carjacking in Germantown

Montgomery County police responded to a report of an armed carjacking in Germantown on November 12, 2024. The carjacking took place in the 13300 block of Dovedale Way "in the early morning hours," police said. Two suspects displayed an unspecified weapon, and took the adult male victim's vehicle. Police describe the suspects only as "2 males, no further descriptions." Police searching for Montgomery Village attempted carjacking suspect

Montgomery County police are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating a man they say attempted to carjack a vehicle in Montgomery Village on the evening of November 4, 2024. Police say the incident occurred at 8:10 PM at the intersection of Montgomery Village Avenue and Midcounty Highway. Detectives describe the suspect as a Hispanic male with a beard and mustache, wearing a white hoodie, jeans, and a puffer jacket (gotta keep warm while carjacking, after all). They have released video of the suspect.

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm carjacking in Montgomery Village early Tuesday evening, May 7, 2024. The carjacking was reported in the 19400 block of Brassie Place at 7:10 PM Tuesday. It took place in the parking lot of a townhome development.

Suspect arrested in Montgomery Village carjacking

Montgomery County police have arrested a suspect in the carjacking reported in Montgomery Village on April 17, 2024. The carjacking was reported at 9:05 PM that evening in the 9700 block of Shadow Oak Drive. Police have recovered the stolen vehicle. They have arrested Keoni Brown, 18, of Rockville as a suspect in the case. No mugshot of the suspect has been released.

Brown was arrested on April 18, and has been charged with felony carjacking. He was initially ordered held without bond, but the next day, Judge Patricia L. Mitchell set bond at $7,500. Brown posted bond on April 19, and was released from jail that day. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for May 17 in Montgomery County District Court in Rockville.

Montgomery County police were called to a complex in the 13100 block of Wonderland Way at 5:59 PM Tuesday. That is at the Farmingdale Condominiums off of Great Seneca Highway.
