Francesca's Collections has closed at 9 Grand Corner Avenue at Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg. The apparel boutique chain announced it would close 140 stores as it faced a potential bankruptcy back in 2020. That included the Bethesda Row location, but this one survived the cut. Alas, the axe has fallen in Gaithersburg now, as well, although the brand has been expanding more than contracting recently with the acquisition of Richer Poorer.
