Montgomery County police are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating three suspects who burglarized Tobacco King at 18528 Woodfield Road in Gaithersburg on June 14, 2023. Employees arriving at the store at 6:45 AM that morning found a glass door in the front had been shattered, and called police. Officers who responded to the call reviewed surveillance video from over the night, and discoved that a silver Hyundai had been intentionally crashed into the front entrance of the store around 4:48 AM.
The video showed three suspects emerge from the Hyundai, and enter the store. After filling trash bags with stolen merchandise, the three exited the store and drove off in the Hyundai. Officers later determined the Hyundai had been stolen earlier in Germantown. MCPD has now released video of the suspects recorded during the burglary.
Detectives are asking for anyone with information regarding this crime or the suspects involved to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest. Callers may remain anonymous.
