Ground was broken yesterday on The Carnegie at Washingtonian Center development in Gaithersburg. Located adjacent to Rio Lakefront, the project will feature 302 independent living, assisted living and memory care residential units. Amenities will include multiple dining facilities, indoor heated saltwater pool, a lecture hall, an art gallery, a computer learning center, a demonstration kitchen for cooking instruction, and a park with a trail leading to Malcolm King Park. Delivery is anticipated for spring 2024.
The actual location of this project is 10100 Washingtonian Blvd., which is a site across from the Lifetime Fitness center, located on the northside of the I370 exit ramp. This is not adjacent to the Rio Lakefront.
