Andy's Pizza opens in Gaithersburg

Andy's Pizza has opened at 145 Commerce Square Place at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. Andy's serves New York-style pizza in whole pies, or by the slice, and is quite an upgrade from previous tenant MOD Pizza. It is a double win to be able to order by the slice, with such high-quality pizzas. Next up for Andy's: a Montgomery Mall location in Bethesda.

Signage has been installed at Andy's Pizza, opening soon at 145 Commerce Square Place at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. More art has been added to the interior walls of the pizzeria. Furniture has been set up on the outdoor patio. Andy's Pizza will be opening here, and at a second Bethesda location in Westfield Montgomery Mall.

Tatte Bakery & Cafe, Mattress Warehouse construction begins in Gaithersburg

Wow, what a juxtaposition! Construction has begun on the former Buca di Beppo building at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. According to the property leasing map, the building is being subdivided into two spaces. One half will hold the upscale New York-based Tatte Bakery & Cafe. The other half will go to Mattress Warehouse. The signing of Tatte Bakery & Cafe was first reported by The MoCo Show.

Tea Spa Wellness relocates in Gaithersburg

Tea Spa Wellness has successfully relocated in the Kentlands area of Gaithersburg. It has completed its move from 209 Market Street W. to 621 Center Point Way at Kentlands Market Square. Tea Spa Wellness offers massages, facials, and healing rituals inspired by "tea culture and natural balance."

Mobile crane work at Whole Foods Market at Kentlands Market Square (Photos)

A mobile crane was spotted at the Whole Foods Market at 316 Kentlands Boulevard at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg last night. It appeared that it would be working overnight to replace the rooftop HVAC system or to replace roofing materials, such as insulation. The store last underwent a major renovation in 2014.

Onekick Martial Arts sets opening date at Kentlands Market Square

Onekick Martial Arts now has an opening date at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. The studio will open on Thursday, October 16, 2025. A ribbon-cutting will be held at 12:00 PM that day. Onekick Martial Arts is located at 255 Kentlands Boulevard.

Andy's Pizza looks pretty close to opening at 145 Commerce Square Place at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. Dining room booths and tables are in place, though some tables still need chairs. Artwork has been applied to the interior walls, ranging from abstract to "Tomato Magic." Andy's has a very successful Montgomery County location already, in downtown Bethesda.

Cinco de Mayo closes in Gaithersburg

Cinco de Mayo has closed at 640 Center Point Way at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg, according to a sign in the window. The Mexican restaurant opened here in 2000. Bailamos DMV has had to cancel their Friday night events at the restaurant. They are currently seeking a new venue in the area to continue those events.

Signage installed at Onekick Martial Arts in Gaithersburg

Permanent signage has been installed above the storefront of the newest Montgomery County location of Onekick Martial Arts in Gaithersburg. It is already connected and lit up at night. Andy's Pizza's first venture into Montgomery County in Bethesda has been so successful, the local pizzeria chain is expanding to Gaithersburg. It will be located at 145 Commerce Square Place at Kentlands Market Square, next to CHOPT. Andy's serves New York-style pizza in whole pies, or by the slice, making it an upgrade from previous tenant MOD Pizza. No opening date has been announced, and this location does not yet appear on the chain's website.

Tea Spa to relocate at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg

Tea Spa Wellness Center is preparing to relocate within Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. Currently located at 209 Market Street W., the day spa will be moving over to 621 Center Point Way. That space - as you can see in the photo below - was most recently home to Pacifica Cafe. It faces the parking lot on the far end of the Cinepolis movie theater building. Massages, facials, Reiki energy healing, acupuncture, and waxing are among the services offered by Tea Spa.

Vine Alley, Brews & Barrels spaces marketed for lease at Kentlands Market Square

Kimco Realty is marketing the spaces currently occupied by Vine Alley and Brews & Barrels at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg as "available" for lease. Both spaces have a notation that parties interested in leasing either storefront "do not disturb" the current tenants, who are still open for business. In addition, both businesses have been removed from the tenant roster in Kimco leasing materials for the property. Brews & Barrels opened at 625 Center Point Way in 2020, and Vine Alley opened two years later at 114 Market Street.

Strong-arm robbery in Kentlands

Gaithersburg City police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery in the Kentlands area on Tuesday afternoon, May 20, 2025. The assault and robbery were reported in the 100 block of Kentlands Square Place at 4:38 PM. That is at Kentlands Market Square.

Party City closing in Gaithersburg

Party City is closing at 295 Kentlands Boulevard, at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. The chain is closing all 850 stores nationwide. It's a particularly sad situation at this location, as it was just renovated with the chain's latest interior format last spring. A closing sale is underway. "Nothing held back!"

StretchLab opens in Gaithersburg

StretchLab has opened at 113 Market Street at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. The one-on-one stretching studio is the chain's latest in Montgomery County, and can be found between Kentlands Dentistry and Bath & Floor Stiles. They are offering 15-minute demo stretches for a limited time. Founding member rates are still available before they rise to normal pricing.

StretchLab "coming soon" to Gaithersburg

The aggressive expansion of StretchLab continues in Montgomery County. A Gaithersburg location at 113 Market Street at Kentlands Market Square is the newest location planned for the one-on-one stretching studio. The chain's "flexologists" will guide you toward your health and fitness goals. A downtown Bethesda location was announced last week, an existing location has been open for some time at Chevy Chase Lake, and others are in the works. When the Gaithersburg location opens, look for it between Kentlands Dentistry and Bath & Floor Stiles.

The sign is up at Prime IV, opening soon at 117 Commerce Square Place at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. Prime IV offers IV hydration and vitamin drips, injections, oxygen treatment and massage chairs. Various levels of membership up to VIP status will be available. Prime IV is expanding to several new locations in Montgomery County; their first, that is already open, is in downtown Bethesda.

MOD Pizza closes in Gaithersburg

MOD Pizza has closed at 145 Commerce Square Place at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. Signage has been removed from the storefront, and the inside is stripped of everything identifying it as a MOD Pizza parlor, including the photo wall and artwork. Why is it that so many of these pizzerias like MOD and Blaze Pizza from last decade's "fast-fired" fad have been closing? The pizzas were pretty good, in my opinion, and there were more toppings than standard chains usually offer, even if thin crusts are not my first choice.

Potomac Cookie Co. signage installed in Gaithersburg

There's a new entry in the cookie wars with a local name. The sign is up at Potomac Cookie Co., opening soon at 109-A Market Street at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg. Although the brand name is local, Potomac Cookie will ship cookies nationwide. When it opens, look for Potomac Cookie next to Daviko Gems.

CVS Pharmacy sets opening date at Kentlands Market Square

Prepare to be mummified via register tape! The new CVS Pharmacy at 311 Kentlands Boulevard in Gaithersburg finally has an opening date. It will open its electric doors for the first time at 8:00 AM on February 19, 2023. Shelves inside are still being stocked with inventory. This CVS will have a drive-thru pharmacy, a must-have these days.
