Saks Off 5th closing in Clarksburg

Saks Off 5th is permanently closing at the Clarksburg Premium Outlets. The store is expected to close by the end of April 2026. It is one of more than 55 Saks Off 5th locations closing nationwide, and one of two in Montgomery County. Saks Off 5th opened here in 2016, suggesting that a ten-year lease might be expiring.

Clarksburg Premium Outlets to add Chick-fil-A

Patrons of the Clarksburg Premium Outlets mall will have a new dining option by the end of 2025. Chick-fil-A has signed a lease to construct a restaurant on a pad site at the Simon retail property. The restaurant will have a drive-thru. It will be located on the Clarksburg Road side of the property. The Montgomery County Planning Department really put Simon and Chick-fil-A thru the regulation and red tape wringer on this (it's just a fast food restaurant, guys - Good Lord!), but construction is finally set to begin.

Burglary at Clarksburg Premium Outlets mall

Salvatore Ferragamo was burglarized at the Clarksburg Premium Outlets mall at 22705 Clarksburg Road on December 11, 2024, Montgomery County police say. The burglary occurred in the early morning hours that day. Officers responding to the scene found evidence of forced entry at the store. Merchandise was stolen from inside. 

Police describe the suspect only as a Black male of unknown age. If you can identify the suspect, call police at (301) 279-8000.

Break-in at Clarksburg Premium Outlets

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a burglary at the Clarksburg Premium Outlets mall at 22705 Clarksburg Road on August 8, 2024. Officers responding to the call "in the early morning hours" found evidence of forced entry at the Salvatore Ferragamo store. Merchandise was taken from inside the store. Paranormal Cirque Clarksburg shows "postponed until further notice"

The Paranormal Cirque shows planned for September 8 to 18, 2022 at the Clarksburg Premium Outlets have been "postponed until further notice," the touring company announced on Facebook yesterday. New dates will be announced. The circus is extending its run in Waldorf rather than move to Clarksburg as scheduled.

Paranormal Cirque to return to Montgomery County in Clarksburg September 8-18

Paranormal Cirque is coming back to Montgomery County next month. It will set up by the Clarksburg Premium Outlets at 22705 Clarksburg Road. A combination of European-style circus, theatre and cabaret, the show will be in Clarksburg from September 8 to 18, 2022.

Under the ominous Clown Castle big top, you will witness acrobats, illusionists, "freaks," and "mysterious creatures." "If you scare easily, you might want to run," the website warns those weak of heart. No one under 13 will be admitted to the event. Children 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older.
