The annual Holiday Mall at Roberto Clemente Middle School in Germantown has provided more than 2000 free gifts to students so far this holiday season, according to Montgomery County Public Schools. Over the last three years, the Holiday Mall has allowed students who might otherwise be unable to afford to purchase gifts for family members a way to do so free of charge. Gifts are donated by teachers and staff at Clemente, as well as by the parishioners of New Covenant Fellowship Church in Germantown. 500 students have taken advantage of the program this year, MCPS reports, with no limit on the number of gifts students may select from the haul of toys, apparel, sporting goods, and household and personal care items.
