Colonel Sanders got the boot at 426 N. Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg, and now his former restaurant building will soon be serving another brand of chicken. The vacant KFC is becoming a Pollo Campero, according to a permit posted in the window. Pollo Campero was founded in Guatemala in 1971, but is all over the Americas today. The chain is known for its chicken, empanadas and signature Campero sauce.
