Clarksburg equipment rental business burglarized

Montgomery County police responded to a burglar alarm at a Clarksburg equipment rental business in the early morning hours of January 22, 2026. The burglary was at Rentals Unlimited at 24000 Frederick Road. Officers responding to the scene found evidence of forced entry at the business. They determined property had been stolen from inside the facility, which supplies rental equipment for landscaping and construction work, and is highly-rated in online reviews.

Walmart burglarized in Germantown

Montgomery County police responded to a burglar alarm at the Walmart Supercenter at 20910 Frederick Road at the Milestone Shopping Center in Germantown in the early morning hours of December 20, 2025. Officers arriving at the scene found evidence of forced entry at the store. Merchandise was stolen from inside. Police have no descriptions of the burglar(s) at this time. They have not yet indicated how surveillance cameras inside and outside the store would have failed to capture images of any individuals involved.

Burglary spree in Poolesville

One burglar went on a broad daylight burglary spree in a residential neighborhood in Poolesville on December 1, 2025. According to Montgomery County police, the burglar was successful in obtaining entry to three homes in the Stoney Springs neighborhood between 12:13 PM and 2:00 PM that afternoon. One home entered was in the 17600 block of Cobb Avenue, and the other two were in the 20200 block of McNamara Road. Police describe the suspect only as a White male of unknown age.

Criminals strike twice at Maserati dealership in Germantown

Montgomery County police are investigating two incidents at Criswell Maserati at 19570-A Amaranth Drive in Germantown. At 5:00 AM on October 28, 2025, two male suspects trespassed on the dealership property, and attempted to steal two cars. They were unsuccessful and fled.

Four days later, police responded to a burglary call at the dealership in the early morning hours of November 1. Officers arriving at the scene found evidence of forced entry to a building on the premises. They determined property had been taken from the dealership.

Barn burglary in Damascus

If the tariffs and moribund Montgomery County economy haven't gotten your farm, the ongoing Montgomery County crime wave will. A barn in Damascus was burglarized on October 12, 2025, according to Montgomery County police. Officers responding to the scene that evening found evidence of forced entry at the barn. They determined property had been taken. Police say they have no descriptions of the suspect(s) at this time. The barn in question is located in the 11200 block of Mountain View Road.

Burglary at Germantown gas station

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a burglary at a gas station in Germantown in the early morning hours of September 5, 2025. The incident occurred at the Liberty gas station at 13411 Kingsview Village Avenue. Officers arriving at the scene found evidence of forced entry at the business. They determined that merchandise had been stolen from inside the Liberty Market convenience store at the station.

Alleged Ledo Pizza burglar arrested in Montgomery Village

Ledo Pizza doesn't cut corners, and neither do Montgomery's Finest. Montgomery County police arrested a man whom they allege broke into the Montgomery Village location of the Maryland pizza chain at 19200 Montgomery Village Avenue, in the Montgomery Village Center at on July 26, 2025 at 5:02 AM. Officers responding to the scene found evidence of forced entry at the pizzeria, but determined that nothing had been stolen. Jason Cole, 20, of Falmouth, Virginia was arrested. 

Cole has been charged with felony 2nd-degree burglary. He was released from custody by Judge Patrick Mays after posting a $5000, unsecured bond on July 28. A preliminary hearing in the case has been scheduled for August 22 in Montgomery County District Court in Rockville.

Pepco substation broken into in Gaithersburg

Montgomery County police report that a Pepco electrical substation in Gaithersburg was broken into earlier this month. The break-in occurred sometime between 3:14 PM on July 11, 2025 and 6:00 AM on July 14. Officers responding to the scene found evidence of forced entry at Pepco Substation 56, which is located in the 19400 block of Watkins Mill Road. 

Police said nothing appeared to have been stolen from inside the facility. However, this is an event that draws scrutiny from law enforcement, as the U.S. Department of Energy reports that there were 175 attacks, or threats of attacks, on electrical infrastructure in the United States in 2023 alone. Milano's Pizza & Pasta burglarized in Germantown

Milano's Pizza & Pasta at 13220 Wisteria Drive in the Churchill Business Center in Germantown was burglarized sometime between 10:00 PM on May 20, 2025, and 9:30 AM on May 21, Montgomery County police report. Officers responding to the scene on May 21 found evidence of forced entry at the restaurant. They determined that money had been stolen from inside the business. Subway burglarized in Clarksburg

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a burglary at the Subway store at 23237 Stringtown Road in Clarksburg in the early morning hours of May 10, 2025. Officers responding to the scene found evidence of forced entry at the restaurant. They determined that money was taken. Who is breaking into Clarksburg Closet?

Clarksburg Closet, a non-profit operation of Cedarbrook Community Church that provides free clothing to those in need, has been targeted by burglars three times in recent months. Montgomery County police are investigating the incidents, the most-recent of which occurred Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Clarksburg Closet and detectives are seeking any information you may have regarding these incidents, and who may be involved.

The first two attempts to break down a rear door of the building failed. On Tuesday, at 3:38 PM, one or more suspects used a rock to bend and damage the bottom of the back door of their facility at 23810 Stringtown Road. They then pried the door open and entered. A second rear door and window were then opened by the intruder(s). 

A stapler was used to vandalize two tables, and items were scattered about. So far, detectives and staff have determined that 10 pairs of size 12 basketball shoes were stolen. Clarksburg Closet will have to pay for the repair of the rear door.

Because all of the attempted and successful break-ins occurred between 3:30 and 4:00 PM, and based on evidence of litter indicating juveniles were loitering on the premises outside the building after-hours, the staff believes juveniles may be behind the incidents.

El Nazareno Latin Market burglarized in Germantown

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a burglary at El Nazareno Latin Market at 19609 Frederick Road in Germantown in the early morning hours of April 2, 2025. Officers responding to the scene found evidence of forced entry at the store. Inside, they determined that money and property had been stolen from the business.

Two-time burglars arrested in Germantown

Two Germantown men who allegedly broke into a credit union on St. Patrick's Day did not have the luck of the Irish when they tried to break into an apartment building later that night. Montgomery County police say the two suspects forced their way into the Skypoint Federal Credit Union office at 19785 Crystal Rock Drive at Crystal Rock Place in the early morning hours of March 17, 2025. They allegedly took unspecified property from inside the office, and fled.

Later that night, at 9:01 PM, police allege the same two men attempted to burglarize the nearby Pinnacle at Town Center apartments at 19860 Century Boulevard. Instead of the pot of gold, they found Montgomery's Finest, who took them into custody.

Anthony Lamont Jackson, 28, has been charged with two felony counts of 2nd-degree burglary, four misdemeanor counts of 4th-degree burglary, and felony 2nd-degree assault of a law enforcement officer. He posted $2000 bond, and was released on March 25. 

Nelson Mifogmi-Tchuomeni, 25, was also arrested. However, that name returns no results in Maryland court records.

Montgomery Village Car Wash burglarized twice in one week

Montgomery Village Car Wash at 19604 Club House Road was burglarized twice in four days' time earlier this month, Montgomery County police report. The first burglary took place in the "early morning hours" of March 4, police say, and the second around the same time four days later on March 8. Officers responding to the scene in both cases found evidence of forced entry at the car wash. Money and property were stolen from the business.

Two Germantown beer & wine stores burglarized the same morning

Two Germantown beer & wine shops were burglarized the same morning, Montgomery County police report. Leena's Beer & Wine at 13505 Clopper Road at Seneca Park Plaza, and Germantown Beer & Wine at 13046 Middlebrook Road at Germantown Commons were both burglarized in the early morning hours of January 17, 2025. Officers responding to the scenes found evidence of forced entry at both stores. 

Money was stolen from inside Germantown Beer & Wine. At Leena's, the burglars took unspecified merchandise.

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a burglary at an office building in Gaithersburg Monday night, December 23, 2024. The incident took place at a building in the unit block of Fedor Avenue at 11:39 PM Monday. Officers responding to the scene found evidence of forced entry.

Burglary at Clarksburg Premium Outlets mall

Salvatore Ferragamo was burglarized at the Clarksburg Premium Outlets mall at 22705 Clarksburg Road on December 11, 2024, Montgomery County police say. The burglary occurred in the early morning hours that day. Officers responding to the scene found evidence of forced entry at the store. Merchandise was stolen from inside.

Burglary at Enterprise Rent-a-Car in Germantown

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a burglary at Enterprise Rent-a-Car at 19801 Frederick Road in Germantown on the evening of November 22, 2024. There were no signs of forced entry. However, property was taken from a "shed" at the rental car facility. Police have released no description of the suspect(s) at this time.

Hindu temple burglarized in Laytonsville

A Hindu temple in the Laytonsville area was burglarized on October 17, 2024, Montgomery County police report. At 4:45 PM that afternoon, three suspects broke into the JSS Spiritual Center at 7710 Hawkins Creamery Road. They allegedly stole money and property and fled.
