Would-be Germantown armed robbers arrested

Two would-be armed robbers were caught in the act by Montgomery County police in Germantown on April 11, 2024. Around 3:14 PM that afternoon, police say, the two suspects approached an adult male in the 19500 block of Frederick Road (MD 355). One of the suspects allegedly displayed a weapon, and demanded property from the victim. Court records indicate the weapon was a firearm.

The alleged suspects were caught and taken into custody before they were able to obtain any property, or flee the scene. Dylan King, 20, of Germantown, and an unnamed juvenile male, 16, of Montgomery Village, were arrested and charged in the incident. King has been charged with felony armed robbery and felony use of a firearm in a violent crime. Because the second suspect is a juvenile, his charges are not public information. A preliminary District Court hearing for King has been scheduled for May 10.
