Charik Fashions returns to Gaithersburg Square, Carter's returning soon

Just when they thought they were out, Gaithersburg Square pulls them back in. After closing their storefront at 520 N. Frederick Avenue last month, Charik Fashions has returned in a new spot in the shopping center at 530 N. Frederick, next door to The Halal Guys. And after closing a couple of years ago, Carter's is also coming back. It will open in Charik Fashion's former location, next to Five Below.

Charik Fashions closes at Gaithersburg Square

Charik Fashions has closed its boutique at 520 N. Frederick Avenue at Gaithersburg Square. Signage has been stripped from the storefront. Inside, the space has been cleared out. The African fashion boutique opened in April 2022.

Charik Fashions is now open at 520 N. Frederick Avenue in the Gaithersburg Square shopping center. Carrying an exclusive line of African apparel, shoes and accessories, the boutique inventory includes kente and African wax prints. Operating hours are 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM seven days a week.

Claire's to open store at Gaithersburg Square

Claire's will open a store at 536 N. Frederick Avenue at Gaithersburg Square, according to a sign posted at its future storefront. The store will be next to AT&T. Claire's already has a store at the nearby Lakeforest Mall. The Illinois-based chain sells popular cosmetics, jewelry, toys and accessories aimed at teen and tween girls.

Freestyle Beauty closing in Gaithersburg

Oh no, not again! Those ubiquitous "Store Closing" signs found all over moribund Montgomery County these days have popped up in the windows of Freestyle Beauty at 524 N. Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg. A closing sale is underway. Freestyle Beauty is located in the Gaithersburg Square shopping center.

Charming Charlie closing at Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg

Those "Everything Must Go!" and "Going Out of Business!" signs so ubiquitous in shop windows around Montgomery County in recent years have popped up at Charming Charlie at Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg. A closing sale is underway at the women's apparel boutique. Please note that if you have any Charming Charlie gift cards, the last day you can redeem them at this store will be August 14, 2019.
