Le Macaron is coming soon to Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg. The French dessert shop will offer macarons, of course, along with gelato, French bakery treats and chocolates. Founded by Rosalie Guillem and daughter Audrey Saba, the chain argues its macarons are the authentic French cookies compared to other American shops where the macarons are "often simply sugar spun into a cookie shape." Construction is just getting started in their future storefront, as you can see here.
