Montgomery County police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Germantown late Monday night, June 26, 2023. Around 11:35 PM, a suspect entered a residence in the 20200 block of Maple Leaf Court. The suspect encountered Victim 1 on the ground floor of the home, displayed a black handgun with an extended magazine, and demanded personal property.
Next, the suspect proceeded upstairs, and demanded cash from a second victim. The suspect then fled the home on foot in an unknown direction. Police later recovered some of the stolen property on Watkins Mill Road, at the I-270 interchange.
Detectives describe the suspect as a Black male, dark complexion, medium build, approximately 25 to 27-years-old, and standing 5'10". He had a beard, and was wearing a black, long sleeve sweatshirt.
