Starbucks adds Cinnamon-Shaken Waffles to menu

Check out what's new at Starbucks for the holiday season. Cinnamon-Shaken Waffles are starting to pop up on menus at Starbucks locations across Montgomery County in recent days. Three bite-size Belgian waffles are shaken in a Cinnamon Dolce Shake Shake Topping, and served warm and golden brown. The waffles are available all day long, not just for breakfast.

New Starbucks in the works for Germantown

Does Montgomery County need another Starbucks? Yes, and it's going to be in Germantown. The coffee megacorporation is taking a leaf out of our local Dunkin' Donuts franchisee's book, and will be repurposing a vacant bank building that has a drive-thru. It will be located at 12605 Wisteria Drive at the Germantown Square shopping center. Construction is anticipated to get underway in mid-summer.

Renovations ahead for Germantown Starbucks

Renovations are planned for one of the Starbucks stores in Germantown. The store at 20934 Frederick Road in the Neelsville Village Center will be remodeled. All of the work will be on the interior of the store. The project is expected to begin by fall 2024.

Montgomery Village Starbucks opens (Photos)

It's PSL season in Montgomery Village. The new Starbucks has opened for business at 19290 Montgomery Village Avenue, in the Montgomery Village Shopping Center. It has a drive-thru for extra convenience, but is not open 24 hours a day. Operating hours here are 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM on Sundays.

The new Starbucks at the Montgomery Village Shopping Center is looking pretty sharp on the outside. Construction has greatly advanced on the exterior since my last update, and there is a nice-looking patio space for outdoor dining. A freshly-paved parking area beckons adjacent to the building. There's still a long way go to inside, however, as the interior is just a shell at the moment.

Here's a look at the progress on the new Starbucks at the Montgomery Village Shopping Center. The Tyvek wrap on the exterior has been replaced with Bituthene. Window glass is now in place, as are safety bollards around the pad site's sidewalk.

The walls are up at the future Starbucks at 19290 Montgomery Village Avenue in the Montgomery Village Center. So is the Tyvek. Starbucks is filling about half of the former Denny's footprint here. Real estate firm KNLB has been marketing the remaining square footage for prospective tenants - hopefully a fast food restaurant with drive-thru!

Starbucks opens at Spectrum in Gaithersburg

Montgomery County's newest Starbucks has opened at the Spectrum development in Gaithersburg. Located at 300 Spectrum Avenue, the store has slightly later hours than many Starbucks, and a very convenient drive-thru.

The lights are on, but nobody's home (yet) at new Starbucks in Gaithersburg

The signage and exterior lighting at the new Starbucks store at 300 Spectrum Avenue in Gaithersburg is lit, but there's still no opening date. A cone blocks the finished drive-thru lane, which also has the height warning bar in place. What is known, is that this store has begun hiring staff in recent days, so it should be opening sooner rather than later.

A new reason to exit I-270 at Watkins Mill Road is almost here. The new Starbucks at the Spectrum development in Gaithersburg is just about ready to open. Menu boards or screens are still needed, but seating is set up inside, and patio furniture is stacked and ready outside. Of course, the drive-thru is the main thing! Getting out of your car to buy coffee is so 2008.

The lights are on at the new Starbucks at the Spectrum development in Gaithersburg, but workers are still completing the interior fit-out. Outside, everything looks close to ready, with signage attached to some sides of the building. This will be the newest drive-thru Starbucks off of I-270 in Montgomery County. There's already one south of here at the Firstfield Shopping Center.
